Eliza was born on 16 February 1825.^2,3 She married John (or Robert) Mitchell at Lincoln, Missouri, USA, on 10 June 1847.^4,1

     Avis (Avice) Sally "?Epsy" Riggs Pioneer Families of MO, p 182:

"His son Jonathan married Jane Shaw, of Campbell Co., Ky., and they had ten children - Samuel, Franklin, Tucker, Clinton, Nancy, Epsy, Lucinda, matilda, Eliza, and Sally. ... Epsy married Eli H. Perkins. ... Sally married Daniel Draper."

Unfortunately, this clashes with The Shoecobbler's Kin pp 873, 893:

p 893:
"ELIHU H. PERKINS b.ca1805 Lincoln Co., NC d. probably california after 1850 m.15 Nov 1838 Lincoln Co., MO to Avice Sally Riggs b.4 Nov 1812, MO, dau of Jonathan and Jane Shaw Riggs. Elihu and Avice were residing at house #171-171 Lincoln Co., MO 1850 census. He left for the California Gold fields shortly thereafter, (during summer of 1850). Four children shown on census by initials only.

Could it be that Pioneer Families got it backwards? I trust Lorena Eaker's evidence more than theirs.

     ?Daniel was born. He married Julian (July Ann) Riggs at Lincoln, Missouri, USA, on 14 April 1840.¹

     He married Lucinda Riggs.¹

     John was born. He married Matilda Riggs at Lincoln, Missouri, USA, on 3 September 1845.^1,2

     John was born. He married Eliza Jane Riggs at Lincoln, Missouri, USA, on 10 June 1847.^1,2

     He married Alice Johnson.¹

     She married John Henry Wood.⁴

     He married Nina Chiado.¹

     She married Joe Pete Wood.¹

     He married Ruth Wood in 1950.²

     She married Joe Pete Wood Jr in 1950.¹

     James was born.¹ He "His [John Bellenfant's] grandfather on Mothers side was in fight at Gilford Court House and was wounded. And died after the War in Williamson County Tenn." (Source: Bellenfant Bible).

The Battle of Guilford Court House occurred in the Revolutionary War on 15 Mar 1781, not long before Battle of Yorktown, Sep-Oct 1781.

Also from the Bellenfant Bible: "James Turner's son was Josiah Turner Sr. who married Eliza E. Evans"

Also: "James Turner was at Battle of Guilford." James died circa 1812 at Williamson, Tennessee, USA.¹

     W Pike Cockrill Bellenfant Family: "W. Pike Cockrill, b. 24 May 1844 Tuscombia, Ala., 8 Mar 1884, Culleoka, Tn. According to "American Ancestry" Vol. II, p. 185 he was the son of Granville LaForce Cockrill (1809-1846), son of John (1781-1841), son of John (1757-1837), son of John Cockrill, born England, died in Virginia after 1757." W was born at Tuscumbia, Colbert, Alabama, USA, on 24 May 1844.¹ He married Sarah "Sallie" Ballanfant at Culleoka, Maury, Tennessee, USA, on 1 February 1872.^2,1 W died on 8 March 1884 at Culleoka, Maury, Tennessee, USA, at age 39.¹

     Peter Watson Johnson Johnson Bible: "Peter Watson, fourth son, was born on Wednesday at 4 o'clock A.M., December the 15th A.D. 1814."

Also: "Peter W. Johnson, (whose birth is herein recorded), died in Holly Springs, Mississippi on Friday the 6th October 1843, at the age of 28 years, 9 months, & 23 days." This makes his birthday 14 Dec 1814.

Bellenfant Family: "Peter Watson Johnson, b. 15 Dec 1814 Tn., d. 6 Oct 1843 in Holly Springs, Miss." Peter was born at Tennessee, USA, on 15 December 1814.^1,3 Peter died on 6 October 1843 at Holly Springs, Marshall, Mississippi, USA, at age 28.^1,2

     Peter was born. He Johnson Bible: "Ruth Johnson, fifth daughter of Alex. & Mary Johnson, was married to Albert Booker, son of Peter R. Booker, Esq., dec. ..."
