     Clair "Bill" Hargreaves Clair Hargreaves. I suspect there are several errors in this family. Two family trees I've been given (including that published in the 1990 Sesquicentennial book "Henry Hargreaves and his Descendants") differ in several places. Is it Clair or Clare? Is Clair male or female? Does son Frank have offspring? Is daughter Denise's husband Nikita Turk or A. Turketo? Is granchild Kelly male or female? Clair was born at Tumut, New South Wales, Australia, on 7 July 1917.¹ He married Margaret Josephine O'Brien in 1941.¹ Clair died on 5 April 1959 at Wagga Hospital, Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia, at age 41.¹ His body was interred at Tumut, New South Wales, Australia, at Tumut Cemetery.¹

     Annabel was born. She married Paul Calanchini in 1945.¹ Annabel died in 1987.¹

     She married Leo Crampton.¹

Alice was born on 31 January 1859.^2,3,1 She married John S Williamson at Giles, Tennessee, USA, before 1876.^4,5 Alice died on 4 February 1893 at Roswell, Chaves, New Mexico, USA, at age 34.^6,3,1 Her body was interred at Roswell, Chaves, New Mexico, USA, at South Park Cemetery.^3,1

     He married Alice "Maggie" Fox. He married Alice Mae Sanders at Giles, Tennessee, USA, before 1876.^1,2

     She married Harris Smith.

     Anne Maria Hargreaves Her name was listed in one tree as Amy Maria. I have used the current names because they were given to Alvy and Edith Smith at the Hargreaves reunion, Kenedy, TX, April 26, 1987, by Coutret descendants. Several documents I read at the Israel Hargreaves reunion, Kenedy, TX, April 24, 1988, did not clear up the mystery. Her first name is spelled variously Annie or Anny, and her middle name Marie or Maria. Amy is apparently a misreading of Anny. She married Alois Julius Coutret at Kerrville, Kerr, Texas, USA. Anne was born at Tumut, New South Wales, Australia, on 9 April 1868. Anne died in September 1965 at Corpus Christi, Nueces, Texas, USA, at age 97.

     Vine Hargreaves Tooma is near Tumbarumba in southern NSW.

Note added 5/10/87: Alvy (2) and Edith Smith just returned from Runge, TX, cemetery where they verified this data from her tombstone. She married Lucius B Lewis. Vine was born at Tooma, New South Wales, Australia, on 29 June 1872.¹ Vine died on 22 August 1902 at Runge, Karnes, Texas, USA, at age 30. Her body was interred at Runge, Karnes, Texas, USA, at Runge Cemetery.

     Henry was born at Adelong, New South Wales, Australia, on 29 October 1865.¹ He married Alva May Loftin at Choate, Karnes, Texas, USA, on 26 April 1898. Henry died on 21 September 1937 at Runge, Karnes, Texas, USA, at age 71. His body was interred at Runge, Karnes, Texas, USA, at Runge Cemetery. See Mabel's death event text.

     Charles was born at Adelong, New South Wales, Australia, on 11 December 1863.^1,2 He married Nancy Lou Townsend before 1906.³ His body was interred in 1954 at Yoakum, Lavaca, Texas, USA, at Yoakum Cemetery.⁴ Charles died in 1954 at Yoakum, Lavaca, Texas, USA.⁴

Myra was born at "Woodlands", Runge, Karnes, Texas, USA, on 5 August 1877.¹ Myra died on 9 June 1965 at Runge, Karnes, Texas, USA, at age 87. Her body was interred after 9 June 1965 at Runge, Karnes, Texas, USA, at Runge Cemetery.

     William Henry Callaway Jr (4) See evidence for brother Lee. He married Elizabeth Closterman. William was born at Goliad, Goliad, Texas, USA, on 16 October 1888. William died on 16 August 1923 at Runge, Karnes, Texas, USA, at age 34. His body was interred at Runge, Karnes, Texas, USA, at Runge Cemetery.

     Sydney Melbourne Callaway Also went by spelling "Sidney". He ran the Tewa Motel in Albuquerque for many years and died there. He is buried in Runge Cemetery. The name "Sir Sid'' was given him by the Boy Scouts of America. He was very proud of the "title'' and was frequently called by it. Sir Sid was an English teacher for children for many years. He worked with southwest Indians a great deal. He was an actor - played Jesus in one play. He never married, but adopted an Indian boy, Sammy. This included newspaper clippings, notes, theater programs, letters, etc. Sydney was born at Goliad, Goliad, Texas, USA, on 12 August 1896. Sydney died on 22 December 1987 at Albuquerque, Bernalillo, New Mexico, USA, at age 91.

     Mabel Evangelene Hargreaves She attended the Hargreaves reunion at Kenedy, TX, Apr 26, 1987. Much of the information about her immediate family is from her own history: "Hargreaves, Sanders, & Williamsons", 1980, for the Menard County History, Anchor Publishing Co, 221 N Main, San Angelo, TX 76901. Mabel was born at Couch, ?Karnes, Texas, USA, on 24 November 1901. She married Albert Calhoun Taylor at Menard, Texas, USA, on 7 July 1918. Mabel died on 3 September 1990 at Seguin, Guadalupe, Texas, USA, at age 88.¹ Her body was interred at Runge, Karnes, Texas, USA, at Runge Cemetery.²

     Albert Calhoun Taylor Ophelia told us that her father and mother had divorced when all the children were small, and that he is buried in the Menard Cemetery. Albert was born on 28 January 1900. He married Mabel Evangelene Hargreaves at Menard, Texas, USA, on 7 July 1918. Albert died on 28 February 1991 at San Antonio, Bexar, Texas, USA, at age 91.¹ His body was interred at Menard, Menard, Texas, USA, at Menard Rest Haven Cemetery.²

     She married Pollard Rodgers on 5 April 1943.

     She married Claude Tucker.

     She married Jack Robert Raney. Virginia was born at USA on 5 February 1926. Virginia died in 1980.

     He married Graciela Hernandez.

     He married Patricia Reid on 5 April 1943.

     She married J Fenley Christopher on 24 November 1971.

     He married Laurie Tempkin in 1981.

     He married Martha Reid.

     He married Virginia Sarah Reid. Jack was born. Jack died in 1984.

     She married William Plantz at Chicago, Cook, Illinois, USA, on 3 August 1985.

     He married K. Gillogly.

     He married Jean Robinson.

     She married T Skayles.
