     (?) was born. He married Amassa "Massie" "Mattie" Miller before 1867. Stella Dillon b 17 Feb 1867 is listed under "Aunt Mattie's own children". There are two older Dillon children but they are listed before this comment. I therefore am assuming that they were products of a former marriage of Mr Dillon..^1,2

There is little evidence for Richard, so his assignment to SAM PARROTT as brother of WILLIAM PARROTT is highly tentative, based solely on proximity in age, name, and place (and church).

Note also that Arlien's notes have, p 1:

"Abigail w. Richard P. [Parrott] joined Hanover Pres. Church during pastorate of Rev. Jacob [Green] 1746-[1796]" Here the brackets mean uncertain transcription.

This is listed after a list of "Sam + Helen Parrot" children. I believe this to be Samuel Parrott m Eleanor Alling, putative brother of this Richard.

"Parrat, Richard, d. Feb. 28." Richard was born on 3 March 1721.³ He resided at Mendham Twp, Morris, New Jersey, USA, on 31 August 1752.⁴ He married Abigail (?) before 12 July 1761.⁵ Richard died on 28 February 1792 at New Providence, Essex, New Jersey, USA, at age 70.^6,2

It is not clear if this is a husband-wife pair or a brother-sister pair. I will enter them as brother-sister for now (1 Jun 2000).

Founders of New Providence, p 55:

"... William and Mary Crane built a house on what has in later years been known as the Cammeyer property, on the Long Hill road, and there were born their children, most of whom are still living in or close to New Providence. These include Thomas P. Crane, for many years Mayor of New Providence Borough, and his brother William Crane, also in New Providence and two other brothers, Theodore and Newton, and a sister Huldah, who live just over the river in Chatham Township. Another brother Levi, lives in Maryland."
William was born on 30 January 1820.^3,4 He married Mary E Cole on 28 May 1849.³ William died on 27 March 1892 at New Jersey, USA, at age 72.⁴ His body was interred on 30 March 1892 at New Providence, Essex, New Jersey, USA, at Methodist Burying Ground.^4,2

     Anne (Anna) Crane Gravestones, Methodist Burying Ground, New Providence NJ:

I am making a leap here: This Anna is listed in the evidence above next to Mary Crane, daughter of Isaac and Mary, and Isaac himself. Her birthdate fits too. Anne was born on 12 April 1822.¹ Anne died on 25 April 1891 at New Jersey, USA, at age 69.¹ Her body was interred at New Providence, Essex, New Jersey, USA, at Methodist Burying Ground.¹

     Mary Crane Gravestones, Methodist Burying Ground, New Providence NJ:

"Crane, Mary, dau. of Isaac and Mary, Dec. 9, 1824-July 31, 1871"

But this can't be right because Isaac's wife Mary (Parrott) died 13 Aug 1822. Furthermore, it disagrees with First Settlers which gives Mary's mother as Anne (Parrott). I will assume the dates are correct but the mother is not. Mary was born on 9 December 1824.¹ Mary died on 31 July 1871 at New Jersey, USA, at age 46.¹ Her body was interred at New Providence, Essex, New Jersey, USA, at Methodist Burying Ground.¹
