He was a farmer and cabinet maker. Later, he moved to Burton, Ohio, in Geauga County, in 1806. He built a house and large log barn on Log. 17. In 1812 and for some time thereafter, the Methodists held their meetings in his barn. He moved to Indiana and died there.
