Andrew Durand settled in the parish of New Cheshire in Wallingford, which, in 1780, became the town of Cheshire. All but the youngest child were recorded in Wallingford Vital Records. The last five are recorded in Parson Foot's Records of Baptisms, page 355, Town Records of Cheshire.

Andrew Durand was in Captain Samuel Hull's company in Colonel Benjamin Hall's regiment and served for the relief of Fort William Henry and parts adjacent, August 1757. This company was from Wallingford and New Cheshire in Wallingford. (Ref. Connecticut Historical Society Collections, Vol. IV, 1755-1757.)"
