Albert F. Cruse 1899-1984 Married to Elizabeth D. 1902-1955
All of the above where burried at Fairmont Cementery in Denver."
A later email in the chain:
"I will try to reply in more detail later, but you should know that for all the Durands that I listed, I have pictures of the tomb stones in Fairmont cementery and took the dates off the pictures. Some of them are a tad hard to read (pictures taken from too far away or too dark), but I am 99% sure of their accuracy. The pictures where taken in 1986. My theory is that my gf Joseph (b 1900-who owned a sporting goods store in Denver) maybe Frank's (b 1875) son. Lawerance (b 1913) may also be Frank's son. I have no documentation of this theory.

Margaret Durand [Du713]1
F, b. 1850
Father | George (or David) Durand [Du357] b. 2 Feb 1814 |
She resided at Sedgwick, Harvey, Kansas, USA.2 Margaret Durand [Du713] "Lived: Sedgwick City, Harney County, Kansas."
There is a Sedgwick, Harvey [not Harney] Co, KS. It is about a mile north of the border with Sedgwick Co.
There is an LDS Individual Record for "Maggie DURAND F Spouse: James K. FRANCIS Marriage: 21 Sep 1893, Sedgwick, Kansas". It is not known if this our Margaret, but the location is suggestive. On the other hand 1893 is quite late for our Margaret. Rough estimates would put her b c1849 (to be younger than her brother George b 1847) m c1870. But it could be a second marriage.
Carly Basped's letter:
"Margaret Durand, born 1850 Illinois
(1850 Illinois, Jersey, Grafton Census) Not proven this is right family yet."
The last sentence could refer to Margaret, her brother George W and possibly their father. She married (?) Dennis.1 Margaret was born at Illinois, USA, in 1850.3,4

I'm looking for George Durand, born 3 Aug 1882 in Topeka, Kansas. He married Wada Bowman, and they were in Denver by 1904. Could he be connected to your line?"

Wesley D. Durand, born 1917 CO married Freda Wallis"
I believe Durand Family has erroneously assigned Emmett, Lawrence, and Wesley to George W Durand, David H Durand's father.
Note added 14 Nov 2001, by Alvy Ray Smith III: I have just visited the grave for this couple today in the Fairmount Cemetery in Denver, Section 8, Lot 67, Block 34. Here is an exact transcription:
"DURAND
David H. May 14, 1884, Feb. 13, 1949, Maude A. Oct. 10, 1885, Jan. 25, 1931"
On the reverse side of this stone is also the following:
"DURAND
[left side is empty rectangle], Lawrence A. May 13, 1913, Feb. 7, 1955"
Digital photos of both sides are in my files. David was born at Kansas, USA, on 14 May 1884. Emmett H Durand [Du956] (Du1210) This was "E R Durand" in Durand Family with George W Durand as father. I believe it is Emmett H Durand, son of David H Durand, son of George W Durand. NB, both Laurance A [Du954] and Wesly D [Du955] were similarly misassigned father. Hence the double numbering: the square brackets contain the Durand Family number, the parentheses the new number I have assigned.
