     Newton Washington "Newt" Hardeman He is a twin of Jasper Marion Hardeman. His wife was his first cousin. He might have married a second time to Ada ?, born circa 1859 in Tennessee. Newton was born at Tennessee, USA, on 10 May 1844.^1,3 He married Martha Jane "Pattie" Witt at Giles, Tennessee, USA, on 5 January 1867.¹ Newton died on 12 May 1890 at age 46.¹ His body was interred at Giles, Tennessee, USA, at Mt Moriah Cemetery.¹

     Jasper Marion "Jap" Hardeman Is a twin of Newton Washington Hardeman. Jap and Ann Hardeman had 6 children ``res. Giles Co., Tn. 1880'' . Source: Bellenfant Family. Jasper was born at Tennessee, USA, on 10 May 1844.³ He married Ann Patterson.¹ Jasper died in 1943.¹

     Alonzo was born at Tennessee, USA, on 7 June 1846.^2,3 Alonzo died on 3 February 1899 at age 52.²

     Eliza was born at Tennessee, USA, on 7 June 1848.^2,3 Eliza died on 4 December 1856 at age 8.²

"one dau;".² He married Jennie Barton. It is a guess that he married a third time after the death of his second wife. "No children.".² Robert died on 20 January 1919 at age 66.²

     William Thomas "Bill" Hardeman Bellenfant Famly: "No children." William was born on 29 July 1856.² He married Adelaide "Addie" Smith on 16 November 1879. "No children".² William died on 9 May 1937 at age 80.²

     She married ? Stubblefield.² Ellen was born on 2 October 1858.² Ellen died on 8 October 1908 at age 50.²

     Nancy was born in 1848.² She married Dr John Bellenfant Hardeman on 2 July 1863.² Nancy died in 1876.²

     Joshua was born circa 1831.² He married Mary Virginia Hardeman at Henderson, Tennessee, USA, on 16 December 1856.² Joshua died on 9 October 1889 at Sedgwick, Lawrence, Arkansas, USA.²

     Amanda was born in 1839.² She married Cornelius Gaines "Dick" Hardeman on 21 January 1862.² Amanda died in 1923.²

Martha was born at Bodenham, Giles, Tennessee, USA, on 25 October 1849.^1,3 She married Newton Washington "Newt" Hardeman at Giles, Tennessee, USA, on 5 January 1867.¹ Martha died on 24 January 1872 at Giles, Tennessee, USA, at age 22. Her body was interred at Giles, Tennessee, USA, at Mt Moriah Cemetery.

     Emma was born at Bodenham, Giles, Tennessee, USA, circa 1869.² She married J Bugg Edwards on 20 September 1885.³

     Mary was born before 24 January 1872. Another source (Bellefant Tree) gave c1876 as birthdate but this is inconsistent with the mother's death. She might, on the other hand, be the daughter of the second wife Ada, who is in question..

     J died. J was born. He The J.Bugg Tobacco Company who put out the famous Bugg Edwards tobacco was first started by N.A.Crockett and Ezell Flourney in 1902. They built a factory on West Popular St. Their slogan was: "We make tobacco for men and pipes, not for dudes and cigarettes." The factory was moved to Memphis in 1906. J. Bugg Edwards and Emma lived in Memphis, TN. (note from Elizabeth White-Jan 97). He married Emma Clayton Hardeman on 20 September 1885.¹

     Nollie Hardeman Celebrated her 103rd birthday. She married Frank Neely.¹ Nollie was born on 20 August 1870.¹ Nollie died on 14 October 1973 at age 103.¹

     Lena was born at Bodenham, Giles, Tennessee, USA, circa 1872.²
