     George Ann Casheon Bellenfant Family: "One dau." George was born on 2 March 1862.² She married Robert LaFayette "Bob" Hardeman. It is a guess that he married after the death of his first wife. "one dau;".² George died on 31 August 1913 at age 51.²

     Adelaide was born in 1861.² She married William Thomas "Bill" Hardeman on 16 November 1879. "No children".² Adelaide died in 1937.²

     He married Ellen Onora "Fannie" Hardeman.¹

     John was born. He He was a professor. He died three months after his marriage to Mary.

Neal Bible evidence: "John Ella Hicks was the daughter of John Hicks and Mary Sanders. John died in 1844 and John Ella was born 6 months after his death." He married Mary Sanders (Saunders) circa January 1844. John Ella b 18 Oct 1844.^3,4 John died circa April 1844.²

     Dr John Robert Neal Original database shows 4 children--some question about identifying them. There were 6 children: 1770 John, 1771 William Erie, Robert Eugene, George W, Samuel Gross, 1772 Rolly Floyd, James A and Elizabeth. [Clearly all the 1700s should be 1800s]

Notes: Robert Eugene was working at Bank of Ravia, Ravia, Indian Territory in June 1902. George W married Leona Pearl Patterson. Elizabeth married William Misenheimer

Bellenfant Family: "Miss John Ella Hicks, b. c1845 Tn., m. William Neal and had four sons: Hicks Neal, Will Neal, Floyd Neal, John Neal."

Obviously, there is some confusion here.

Elizabeth Witt White, source of the Bellenfant Tree evidence, is a descendant of Clayton and Mary Witt.

Clayton's middle name comes from a letter from my father Alvy (2) to me Alvy (3), 23 Jun 1989, quoting information he learned from Elizabeth Witt White.

     Maud (Amanda) Witt She and Richard were living with her parents, according to the 1880 Giles County, Tennessee, census. She married Richard Brandon.² Maud was born at Bodenham, Giles, Tennessee, USA, circa 1860.²

     Charles Morgan "Reb" Witt From Pulaski Citizen, 28 Feb 1907, p 4: Brothers Clash--- General (name: General Lafayette Witt) and C.M. Witt met in Childer's office Monday morning where, after a few words, they came to blows. General's head was cut in several places, probably with the handle of a closed pocket knife and blood flowed freely. There had been misunderstanding about some business transaction and Mr. Childers had left the two men together to talk over the matter. When at the stairway he heard the racket and called a policeman. Later C.M. Witt was arrested on a State's warrant charging assault.
