"He married Hannah (or Joanna) Miller of Westfield, N. J., born at Elizabeth in 1702, d. Feb. 1, 1793. She was the daughter of Samuel Miller and Elizabeth Thompson. All of their children were born in Elizabeth." She married Nathaniel Bonnell.^2,1 Hannah was born at Elizabethtown, Essex, New Jersey, USA, in 1702.¹ Hannah died on 1 February 1793.¹

5. Samuel married Betsey Crane, and had children: 1. Jane; 2. Lewis.

[Something is not right here: Mary Parsons is not listed as a child of William Jun in First Settlers, and New Providence Pres records gives her name as Pierson, not Parsons.]

Benjamin Bonnel, Esq., was a Justice of the Peace, and an Elder in the Presbyterian Church here. He was drowned in the winter of 1800, by the upsetting of a ferry-boat, in New York bay, when several persons of this Valley were lost."
