     Elias was born. He I do not know for sure that the Elias Jarrett b Bobbing, Milton, Kent, England is our Elias but it seems very likely, since the sister-in-law Mary Ann of our Elias is also from Bobbing and the birthdate is about right. Also either sister-in-law Fannie or brother-in-law William was married in Milton Parrish, Kent. He was baptized at Bobbing, Milton, Kent, England, on 10 November 1821. Religion: (an unknown value).2 He married Sarah Jane Sifleet at Ohio, USA, circa 1844.3,4

Page numbers refer to my computer transcription of her notes., Fannie's husband's name is not in doubt. The place, however, Milton Parish, Kent is based solely on this cryptic entry in Aunt Arlien's research notes:

    p 32-: "5. Fannie m. Milton Parrish - Kent
    * m. James Court
    ..."

    She is not known to have married twice. Arlien typically uses the notation m1 and m2 for two marriages. The "m. Milton Parrish - Kent" might be associated with the entry above hers, William James Sifleet, but he is known to have married only once, in the US. So it seems likely that Parrish, rather than being a surname is a misspelling of parish. This should be regarded with some skepticism, however.
