     Carrie M Durand [Du959] History of Saginaw Co (Mills), p 212:

"There is one daughter, Carrie M Durand, who graduated from the Saginaw High School, in the class of 1891."

This would make her birth ca 1874,

Also, p 348:

"The organization of the hospital embraces fifty active members of whom ... Miss Carrie M. Durand, secretary." This would be 1918, when she was about 44 years old. She apparently did not marry. Carrie was born circa 1874. She graduated high school 1891..^3,4 She resided at Saginaw, Saginaw, Michigan, USA, in 1891.¹ She resided at Saginaw, Saginaw, Michigan, USA, in 1918.¹

     Gabriel Lawyer Szumowski Genealogy:

"Gabriel LAWYER [...] was born 30 Mar 1813 and was christened 5 Apr 1813 in Cobleskill, Schoharie, Co., NY. He married Sarah.
Sarah was born 1825. She married Gabriel LAWYER.

NB. Dau Mary's birthyear is too early (Sarah b 1825]
and Gabriel's b 30 Mar 1813 does not agree with gravestone evidence of 20 Mar 1818 (altho it is easy to see how one might be taken for the other) - see baptism evidence below that shows 1813 to be correct.

The sponsors are surely the child's grandparents.

1855 Census, 72: "4.1 VANVALKENBURG Hiram 30 SCHOHARIE" right next to "4.2 LAWYER Gabriel 41 SCHOHARIE" supports evidence that these two gentlemen married two Durand sisters, Sophronia Hortense and Sarah, respectively.
Gabriel was born at Schoharie, New York, USA, on 30 March 1813. Szumowski gives 30 Mar 1813, but this disagrees with the gravestone. An LDS Individual Record (copied from records) gives it as 30 Mar 1818 "Of, Cobleskill, Schohaire, New York". Lawyer-Krysztopa gives 30 Mar 1813 too. The original record gives 30 Mar so that decides it..^{5,6,2,7,8,9,10} He was baptized at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cobleskill, Schoharie, New York, USA, on 5 April 1813. Religion: (an unknown value).^7,8 He married Sarah Durand [Du378] before 1844. Birth of dau 1844.^11,5,6,2 A census listed Gabriel as head of household at Fulton, Schoharie, New York, USA, in 1855.⁴ Gabriel died on 6 May 1892 at age 79.⁵ His body was interred at Cobleskill, Schoharie, New York, USA, at Cobleskill Rural Cemetery.⁵

     Mary Adaline Lawyer Has DAR ID #57321. Mary was born at Little Lakes, Herkimer, New York, USA, on 8 April 1844. 1834 given in Durand Family, but this is too early. Mother b 1824.^4,5 She married Rev Thomas Creighton Mayham at Cobleskill, Schoharie, New York, USA, on 8 September 1865.^6,2,7 Mary died on 26 April 1930 at age 86.⁵

     Rev Thomas Creighton Mayham Beach manuscript, p 232, says this:

"MARY LAWYER MARRIED REV THOM C MAYHAM. RAHWAY.N.J. 11.WEST MILTON AVE"

Note that EBENEZER DURAND Rev War Pension File contains (sheet 54) a letter from Ray E Mayham, 11 West Milton Ave, Rahway, NJ, dated 7 May 1906. He is a son of Rev Thomas Mayham, living at the same old home. Thomas was born at Jefferson, Schoharie, New York, USA, on 11 October 1841.² He married Mary Adaline Lawyer at Cobleskill, Schoharie, New York, USA, on 8 September 1865.^3,1,4 Thomas died on 9 November 1915 at age 74.²

     His body was interred at Cobleskill, Schoharie, New York, USA, at Cobleskill Rural Cemetery.¹ He married Polly Smith.¹ Oscar was born in 1832.¹ He married Sarah Durand [Du378] after 21 November 1889. After his first wife's death 21 Nov 1889.^2,1

     John was born. He married Minerva Durand [Du379] in 1858. Durand says Binsey, 1858; IN Co Histories says John H Hinsey, no date..^1,2

     W was born.² He Durand Family, p 142:

"W. A. Binsey, St. Louis, Mo."

As for the father, I believe Binsey to be a mistransciption of KINSEY in Beach.

     ?Phebe (?) Arlien's Notes, p 1:

"Phebe wife Sam'l Parrit age 28 - buried in Whippany Church yard, Oct. 25, 1743 [Whippany Pres. Church Records]"

Whippany Graveyard:

"Parrit. - Here Lyes ye Body of Phebe wife of Samuel Parrit
Dec'd Oct'r e 25th 1743 in ye 28 year of her Age."

I am making a leap here based on coincidence of time, place, religion, and presence in Arlien's notes. Notice that Phebe's death in 1743 is timed about right for Samuel to remarry Eleanor and have children Phebe and Elizabeth, bp 1749.

Allen (Alling) Family evidence, p 230:

"Eleanor, b. abt. 1726: md., as 2nd wife, Samuel Parritt; d. Aug. 27, 1787."

So this means that Samuel had a 1st wife. With this in mind, consider the following from Parrit Homestead:

"Here Eleanor Alling and her husband lived and here their children were born, Phebe, Elizabeth, Susanna, Charity, Joseph, Ann, Mary, Eleanor, Samuel 1st, Samuel 2nd, and Archibald. I can find no Rebecca, wife of Ebenezer Farrand on the list. If she is a sister of these as some claim, she must be a half sister by a former marriage of Samuel Parrit Jr. as Rebecca was born 1740, five years previous to his union with Eleanor Alling. So far we can find no record of such a marriage."

Because of this I am assigning Rebecca tentatively as daughter of Samuel and Phebe. This would imply that they married before 1740.



?Phebe was born circa 1715.⁴ As of before 1740,her married name was Parrott.^4,5 She married Samuel Parrott before 1740.^4,5 ?Phebe died on 25 October 1743 at New Jersey, USA.⁶ Her body was interred at Whippany, Morris, New Jersey, USA, at Presbyterian Church Yard.^1,6

     (?) died at England.¹ (?) was born.²

     Clara was born on 9 August 1856.² She died on 2 September 1859 at age 3.³

     John Parrott Questionable marriage attribution.

Arlien's notes, P 8R:

"John P. m Anne Rioson 6/27/1765 [Whippany Pres. Church]." John was born on 12 May 1703.² He married ?Anne Rioson at Whippany Presbyterian Church, Whippany, Morris, New Jersey, USA, on 27 June 1765.³

     ?Anne was born. She married John Parrott at Whippany Presbyterian Church, Whippany, Morris, New Jersey, USA, on 27 June 1765.¹

     ?Phebe was born. She This marriage is in doubt. See text for William Parrot Jr. She married Pvt William Parrott Jr at Whippany Presbyterian Church, Whippany, Morris, New Jersey, USA, on 11 September 1777.¹ ?Phebe died before 15 July 1779. If this marriage attribution is correct, then she would have to have died before Wm married again 15 Jul 1779 to Katy Wms.

     ?Abigail was born. She Questionable attribution.

Both are listed in the Whippany Presbyterian Church records.

Genung Genealogy, p 23:

"[Cornelius Genung] Married by the pastor of the 1st Pres. Church, Hanover, N. J., Oct. 18, 1775, to Abigail Parrott, b. --d. Jan. 1782. She was from Morristown, N. J. or vicinity and had a sister Sarah who married Clark or Cook and lived near Morristown, also other relatives in the neighborhood.

Note that we do not have a Sarah, sister to Abigail, as required by the above. She married Cornelius Genung at Whippany Presbyterian Church, Whippany, Morris, New Jersey, USA, on 18 October 1775. Sifleet Notes give Whippany NJ; Genung Genealogy gives Hanover NJ. Both agree on date and Presbyterian Church.^3,4 ?Abigail died in January 1782.⁴

Sifleet Notes give Whippany NJ; Genung Genealogy gives Hanover NJ. Both agree on date and Presbyterian Church.^3,4 Cornelius died on 9 May 1828 at age 81.⁵

     Noah was born on 19 August 1768.¹ Noah died on 19 May 1825 at age 56.¹

Since I am unclear about Arlien's source, I will use Big Ed's numbers.
She was baptized at Hanover Presbyterian Church, Hanover, Morris, New Jersey, USA, in 1795. Religion: Presbyterian.² Nancy was born on 22 February 1796.³ Nancy died on 17 February 1877 at age 80.³

     Benjamin was born.² He First Settlers, 116:

"1. Benjamin, who was a justice of the peace. He married, 1st, Elizabeth Darling, daughter of Thomas; 2d, Elizabeth Roberts, 19th July, 1770, daughter of Daniel Roberts, and sister of Samuel Roberts, Sen., and also sister of Phebe, the wife of Peter Davison.

BENJAMIN DAY, (1st child of Daniel, son of Jonathan, son of Joseph Day) and Elizabeth Darling, had children:

His wife, Elizabeth Darling, then died, and he, by his 2d wife, Elizabeth Roberts, had other children:

Benjamin Day, Esq., died September, 1783, and his widow, Elizabeth Roberts, married Obadiah Valentine, as his 3d wife." He married Abigail (Elizabeth?) Darling at Morristown Presbyterian Church, Morristown, Morris, New Jersey, USA, on 3 July 1751.^3,4 He married Elizabeth Roberts on 19 July 1770.² Benjamin died in September 1783.²

     Abigail was born.² She First Settlers, p 114:

"Benjamin [Day] who was a justice of the peace. He married 1st, Elizabeth Darling, daughter of Thomas ..."

He is apparently not Capt Thomas Darling, whose will does not mention Elizabeth. But, according to correspondent Marianne Frey, Benjamin Day married Abigail Darling, not Elizabeth. The Morristown Presbyterian Church records have Abigail Darling dau of Thomas m Benjamin Day on 3 Jul 1751. Marianne says, "Abigail is the right age and in the right place to be the daughter of the Thomas who made a will in 1777 and died in 1784. She's not in the will, but of course she wouldn't be if she died 1769 leaving Benjamin to marry Elizabeth Roberts in 1770, which is what a couple of references say."

So perhaps Thomas IS Capt Thomas.
She married Benjamin Day Esq at Morristown Presbyterian Church, Morristown, Morris, New Jersey, USA, on 3 July 1751.^3,4 Abigail died before 19 July 1770. When her husband Benjamin Day married his second wife..¹

     Abigail Day Methodist Gravestones, New Providence:

"Schureman, Abigail, wife of John Schureman, d. Sept.3, 1817, age 46 (Dau. of Benjamin & Elizabeth Day)." Abigail was born circa 1771.² She married Jonathan Valentine at New Providence Church, New Providence, Essex, New Jersey, USA, on 10 April 1791.^2,3 Abigail died on 3 September 1817.² Her body was interred at New Providence, Essex, New Jersey, USA, at Methodist Burying Ground.¹
