The Women

I have seen several references to women named Ailbhe in the old Irish folktales literature. One legendary Ailbhe was a daughter of the fairy king Midir; another was a daughter of Cormac mac Art and one of the four best lovers in Ireland (from a Gaelic name list).

Furthermore, while searching the web for information, I came upon a modern Irish lesbian feminist with the name: Ailbhe Smyth (google her).
